COURSES

In order to ensure quality of CEPD courses offered at MUHAS and elsewhere the following guidelines shall be followed by Departments/Units to prepare course curricular, and to ensure all other support structures are available for efficiency and sustainability. Each course shall address some competency domains and the core competencies shall be clearly indicated in the CEPD course curriculum. The following criteria should be taken into consideration during development of CEPD courses for accreditation:-

Relevant and up-to-date books, journals and other literature materials for the course are available and listed.

Access to Computers and Internet for training available and indicated.

5. Academic, Technical and Administrative/ Support staff

CEPD teaching staff adequate in number and qualifications and indicated.

Name of CEPD Programme Director and Coordinator clearly indicated.

Physical facilities and equipment are adequate and listed.

Financial plan, including fees justification is available (e.g. CEPD participant unit cost, tuition fee etc.)

A clear plan of sharing income including Institutional 10% is indicated.

4.ADEQUACY OF COURSE CURRICULUM FOR VALIDATION

1. The CEPD course curriculum in general

Curriculum follows existing CEPD Policy and Procedures (when the policy is in place).

The CEPD course development is based on a situational analysis and needs identification.

3. Stakeholder needs

CEPD course is responsive to employers, staff, students, professional and societal needs.

There is evidence or mechanism for regular CEPD curriculum revision to incorporated stakeholders’ needs.

Curriculum design show breadth and depth (content- Topics & sub- topics etc).
